Mutton Do Pyaza
Ingredients
Mutton 500 gm
Sliced onions 2
Brown onion paste 1/4 cup
Yogurt beaten 1/4 cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Red Chilli powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
All spice powder(garam masala) 1 tbsp
Black cardamoms 3 – 4
Cinnamon 2 sticks
Black pepper corns 1 tsp
Ghee/oil 5-6 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method
Heat ghee/oil in a deep skillet, add cardamoms, black pepper corns and cinnamon, Fry for 1-2 minutes.
Add the ginger and garlic paste with 2 tbsp water and fry for a minute.
Add the mutton, sliced onions, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, 3 cups of water and cook till tender.
Mix garam masala powder, coriander powder, Yogurt.
Add brown onion paste and fry for 6-7 minutes or until the oil floats on top.
Stir fry until the water dries and thick gravy consistency is achieved.
Garnish with Chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with Roti/Naan/Rice.
